An unexpected seasonal gift from Fredericton-based clothing brand Down With The Ship blends obscure New Brunswick holiday nostalgia with an equally diverse mix of not-so-classic classics.

Just a few weeks after releasing his latest line of New Brunswick-inspired urban apparel, Down With The Ship founder Chris Thomas stepped away, momentarily, from his work in graphic and clothing design to create a mixtape jam packed with holiday oddities. As much an ode to seasons past as to our collective love of holiday nostalgia, Marry Xmist’s eclectic tapestry of jingles, soundbites, and not-so-classic classics is sure to get your holiday party bumpin’. Or at the very least, serve to instigate a few conversations. An ugly Christmas sweater for your ears, and a must for the music lover on your list.

On November 18, Thomas celebrated the launch of his latest clothing line with an in-store pop-up at Half Cut Brewing on Main Street. The new line features hoodies and toques in a variety of earth tones alongside camper and trucker hats, t-shirts, jackets, and this ultra sweet, custom designed Land Rover Winter Cap.
