Abandoned by her mother at birth, raised by her grandmother in a brothel, encouraged to sing by her Father- a street acrobatic Edith Piaf became one of France’s most legendary singers of all times. Artistic Director, Igor Dobrovolskiy and the exceptional dancers of Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada explore a life shrouded in mystery, love and tragedy reflected in the authentic and life inspired songs of the great Edith Piaf.

Proceeds going to:  The Empty Stocking Fund and Romero House.  Food Donations will also be accepted at the door with a 50/50 draw during intermission.

Juno-nominated folk-pop duo Fortunate Ones draws audiences in with wide-eyed energy, pragmatic optimism and an earnest mission for connection. The Newfoundland-based band weaves blissful vocal harmonies, guitar, accordion, piano and percussion to create an experience that will elicit feelings of joy, hope, sadness and contemplation – and the spirit that we’re all in this together.

John McDermott is an international recording star and household name. Besides his stellar musical career – platinum, double-platinum, triple-platinum albums and multiple Juno nominations – he is also known for his commitment to veterans’ causes – the U.S. Congressional Medal of Honour Society’s Bob Hope Award, the Ted Williams Globe & Anchor Award from the USMC and, here at home, a commendation from the Minister of Veteran’s Affairs for this ongoing work, which includes his foundation McDermott House Canada, dedicated to improving care in the final stages of terminal illness and providing a warm, welcoming place to stay for Canada’s veterans, military, first responders and their families.

In concert, whether he is sharing the stage with a topnotch group of musical friends or touring the world as part of the famed Three Irish Tenors, McDermott continues to enchant audiences with his beautiful voice and sensitive renditions. Though time and travel have introduced him to a wealth of new material and experiences, he manages to incorporate that diversity into his performances, while retaining the beguiling sense of  humour that endeared him to audiences from the beginning. This tour features songs from his latest release, Raised on Songs and Stories, and a variety of favourites from his vast recording catalogue.

The breakout star of the Academy Award-winning documentary 20 Feet from Stardom, Lisa Fischer has a voice that is a natural phenomenon, with astonishing range, expressivity and phrasing. Music lovers have experienced her vocal magic at every Rolling Stones concert since 1989 as well as at shows by Tina Turner, Luther Vandross, Chris Botti and Nine Inch Nails. In addition to her backing work with these artists, Fischer has sung with the likes of Sting and Chaka Khan and won a 1992 Grammy for her R&B hit “How Can I Ease the Pain?” beating out legends Gladys Knight and Aretha Franklin in the process!
