Saint John’s Little You, Little Me are still getting well-deserved praise for last year’s I’d Watch The Day Til It Died, an album that snuck in near the end of the year and ended up topping many a Best of 2015 list. This past year saw the band tour from coast to coast with Fredericton’s Motherhood, release a kill EP with Eamon McGarth via Greville Tapes and travel to Europe for an eleven date tour. We’re excited to see what 2017 brings.

2016 saw the long-awaited release of Cellarghost’s debut full-length, In The Whiteout, an album project that involved more than a year of work in the studio with engineer Evan Hansen of The Recordery.  By all accounts, it was well worth the wait. In The Whiteout is an impressive 12 track album and will no doubt be a frontrunner on many of this year’s top album picks.

Last but not least, Jane Blanchard released her debut, Narcissus, a three track EP that The East Mag called “an unflinchingly broody break-up album”. For this recording, Blanchard is joined by David in the Dark bandmates Dylan Ward, who engineered the project, and Stefan Westner on drums.  According to Blanchard, “These three songs reflect [an intended diversity] while still maintaining the raw and honest sound that I was aiming for”.
