Fredericton artist Marie Fox hosts a drawing workshop on May 15.

marieSpend a day immersed in the glory of spring flowers, portraiture and creativity. This workshop will demonstrate drawing techniques of light and shade, still life, form and composition suitable for beginners and advanced artists alike. Students will be working from real blooms and will create a detailed collage/classical portrait.

Marie Fox studied art history at NSCAD University, but is primarily a self-taught painter. Working with traditional techniques and contemporary subject matter, the focus of her work is on the figurative and the ethereal. She has exhibited paintings with many well- known Atlantic Canadian art galleries, including the Beaverbrook Art Gallery (2015 Studio Watch: Emerging Artist Series). Marie works and teaches from her studio in downtown Fredericton.

There is a course fee of $75 which includes all supplies. This workshop takes place on Sunday May 15t at Robert Dugas Hair and Makeup, located at 461 King Street from 10am-4:30pm.
