BA Johnston plays The Capital – July 9, 2015
BA Johnston may be the only true punk left in this country. He tours constantly, has always done his own thing and practically lives in his van. He’s got a smart-ass reply for every audience heckle and often pre-emptively taunts his devoted fans and followers before they’ve had a chance to get their first drink at the bar.
If GG Allin married Al from Happy Days and somehow conceived a child in the backroom of a karaoke bar, that child would be BA Johnston. But because that never (probably) happened, BA Johnston remains a mystery. A big, smiling, lovable, sarcastic, mystery.
Did we mention he made the 2015 Polaris Prize long list? Good things come to those who wait.
