Wicked Vices continue to tease forthcoming album

Athlone St highlights Wicked Vices’ deep understanding of the ever important relationship between a song’s lyrics and the music that carries those themes forward.

It’s just past the midpoint of the song. Not long after vocalist Kristen Vautour belts out the crushing line, “Families aren’t chosen, to live without…” This is where it all hits home. A short solo and then…a break. An extended hang. Limbo. It’s a very “where do we go from here” moment. A perfect pairing of subject and delivery.

In a song about the many ups and downs that come with being in a band, Wicked Vices continue to demonstrate their collective strength, combining personal lyrics with equally meaningful instrumental accompaniment that accentuates the subject matter in a way that sets this group apart from the pack.

Athlone St. is the third single from the band’s forthcoming album, In Moderation, currently slated for release in early 2022.
