On Tour: Richard Garvey

Kitchener, Ontario folk musician makes his way through the province this week playing Saint John, Fredericton and Gagetown.

Kitchener, Ontario folk musician Richard Garvey is currently making his way through the Maritimes playing a few intimate shows in the lead-up to his performance at the 10th annual Feels Good Folly Fest.

With a catalog of releases going back over the past seven years starting with 2011’s eight track debut To Grow, Garvey has stayed true to his folk roots. His recordings have remained free from big studio production and arrangements scaled beyond something he could recreate live on his own.  Often recorded live off the floor with occasional guests joining in on harmonies or adding some additional instrumentation, Garvey’s scaled down approach to making music adds a strong degree of folk authenticity to his soft voice and accompanying banjo and guitar work.

He’ll be playing shows this week in Saint John, Fredericton and Gagetown. Your attendance is highly recommended.
