Kylie Fox announces upcoming single, release party and album fundraiser.
Kylie Fox is quickly becoming the buzz of New Brunswick. As a gifted songwriter whose rich use of humour doesn’t cloud the sincerity of her words, Fox has been giving her all to writing and performing over the past few years and has gained a loyal following in the process.
This week Fox has announced her forthcoming single, This Beer is Home, a love letter to Saint John’s Moosehead Breweries.
Born and raised in Saint John, Fox holds a strong connection to Canada’s oldest independent brewery. Her father worked there for twenty eight years and both Fox and her sister were employed by the company at different times.
“The brewery was at the centre of my childhood. When I was going uptown, out East, to high school, or to Tim Hortons, I’d have to pass the brewery,” said Fox.
This Beer is Home is the first single off Fox’s forthcoming debut full length album Green, produced by Dale Murray (Christina Martin, Jessica Rhaye, Jason Haywood). The song will be officially released on July 26.
To celebrate the release of the single, Fox is performing a free concert at the Moosehead Smallbatch Bar. There will be a BBQ, a keg collecting donations for the project, and a dollar from every Moosehead Light sold will go directly to support Fox’s upcoming album.
