Willie Stratton and Them Other Johns announce summer tour.
It’s practically impossible to sit still while listening to Willie Stratton. Channeling the infectious country swing vibes made famous by the likes of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, Spade Cooley and others during the 30s and 40s, Stratton brings new energy to this timeless sound and will soon be hitting the road for dates through the Maritimes, Quebec and Ontario this summer.
Over the past few years, the Halifax-based musician has been making quite a name for himself, earning nominations from both the East Coast Music Awards (Rising Star of the Year – 2015) and the Nova Scotia Music Awards (Folk Artist of the Year) and winning numerous The Coast Readers’ Choice Awards including gold for Best Folk Act and Best Dressed Band.
For this tour, Stratton will be joined by Halifax country act, Them Other Johns.
