Country purist and storyteller Nudie (aka Matt Putnam) plays Miramichi and Moncton this week.
Supporting his sophomore solo album Everything’s Different In The Night, Charlottetown-based country crooner Nudie wraps up his latest tour with performances in Miramichi and Moncton this week.
For several years now, Nudie (aka Matt Putnam) has been recording and touring, playing stages across North America from Harvey, New Brunswick to Austin Texas. Born and raised in Ontario, he relocated to Charlottetown and formed the band Nudie and the Turks, recording a pair of albums that confirmed his love for old-time country songs and his ability to pen clever, witty three chord classics.
Now with a pair of solid albums of his own, Nudie brings a contemporary voice to country music’s long tradition of great storytelling. Highly recommended. If you can catch a performance, he’s the real deal.
