Plays Fredericton September 16, 2015

pbs_crop2_1_web-1024x819Paper Beat Scissors debuted a new video for the track “Lawless” last week via Rolling Stone Germany. Directed by Derek Branscombe, the video is an exploration of intimacy and relationship cycles though movement and dance.

A song from the forthcoming album Go On, “Lawless” breezes in slowly on Tim Crabtree’s langurous vocals, and ethereal pedal steel (Michael Feuerstack) before cataclysmic drums (Nathan Doucet – Crosss) rip the piece apart and mournful orchestral swells (Gregory Burton and Pietro Amato – The Luyas) push at the edges and the tension subsides, leaving the song to die away on a wave of stark, yet warm, keyboards and tremolo violins (Patrick Cruvellier).

On the heels of the video’s release, Paper Beat Scissors also unveiled a series of Canadian and European tour dates including a stop in Fredericton September 16, 2015 during Harvest Jazz and Blues.
