On Tour: Jesse Stewart

Category: music 3,010

Anti-folk street punk Jesse Stewart will be making his way through Atlantic Canada as part of his current national tour with dates in Fredericton, Saint John and Moncton.

Jesse Stewart is a solo mandolin artist from Campbell River, British Columbia but has now located to no fixed address.

Back in 2014 with the help of some Eastern Canadians Jesse figured out the lyrics to Donnie Dumphy’s song Cry Tunes. After a few beers and a backyard group jam the bluegrass cover Cold Beer was born.  Stewart was unaware he was being filmed on a cell phone and uploaded to the internet until he got a knock on his door from a friend telling him he was on the front page of Reddit.

Millions of Youtube views later and an appearance in Season 9 of Trailer Park Boys and Jesse is still on the road touring coast to coast bringing his brand of folk punk to festivals, music venues & DIY spaces.

New Brunswick audiences can see him on tour May 18-23 with shows in Saint John, Fredericton and Moncton. Full east coast dates below.
