House Concert with Regina’s Jeffrey Straker

jeff sLansdowne House Concerts welcomes a wonderful singer-songwriter-pianist, Jeffery Straker, from Regina. This is an extraordinary musician who curiously is a musical descendant of Beethoven through teacher-student lineage (but see his website for the full story). Jeffery recently did sold-out concerts with both the Regina Symphony Orchestra and Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra. He has toured across Canada, the USA, Africa, Europe and South America. He has had showcases at Canadian Music Week, NXNE, the Western Canadian Music Awards, plus JunoFest and the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. His latest career boost came from winning the prestigious Vina del Mar (Chile) song competition in February 2014 where he represented Canada. Performing live to a festival crowd of 20,000 people and to a TV audience of 100,000,000 viewers across the Spanish speaking world he quickly gained a fan base putting him in demand for performances across Latin America.

Clearly, Jeffery is at home in the concert halls but is also well experienced at house concerts. His concerts are action packed and total fun for the audience. This concert will be presented on Sunday, June 7; doors open at 7:15pm. Seats cam be reserved via e-mail to Paul or Liz at: pmm@unb.ca or call us at 457-0826. The venue is located at 41 River Front Way, Fredericton and the cost is $20 per person (cash or cheque at the door).
