David Myles returns to the province for 8th annual Singing For Supper tour.

Since releasing his debut album in 2005, David Myles has been on the move playing festival stages and soft-seaters across Canada and the United States.  Nearly a dozen releases later, the Halifax-based, Fredericton-born musician continues to make room in his annual calendar to return home in support of New Brunswick food banks.

Singing For Supper has become a holiday tradition for Myles and his bandmates. Each year around this time, the trio load up the van and travel to shopping malls throughout New Brunswick to perform for holiday shoppers collecting cash and food donations along the way.

“This year marks the 8th year of Singing For Supper,” said Myles. “So far we’ve raised over $50,000 dollars for food banks in New Brunswick. It’s a tremendous accomplishment but the need remains. Thousands of New Brunswickers rely on Food Banks every day and together we must continue to support them. It’s important to remember the value of generosity and sharing during the Christmas season.”

This year’s Singing For Supper tour will see Myles, bassist Kyle Cunjak and guitarist Al Jeffries performing in Fredericton, Saint John and Dieppe.

“This tour is always one of my favourite weeks of the year because of how inspiring it is to see the generosity of New Brunswickers at work year after year,” said Myles.  “I love it. Let’s rock this NB! Can’t wait to see you and I look forward to raising even more money and donating even more food than we ever have before.”
