The New Brunswick Crafts Council is gearing up to present their second fine crafts festival of the year.  #FromHumanHands will take place in downtown Fredericton August 28-30, 2015 in Officer’s Square.

With nearly 40 exhibitors participating, this year’s event will feature contemporary and traditional fine craft from New Brunswick master craftspeople working in wood, ceramics, metal, jewelry, photography, fibre, leather and more, plus emerging artisans from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design.  In addition, visiting artists from neighbouring provinces will round out this year’s expanded list of exhibitors for what is shaping up to the Council’s largest summer craft festival in recent years.

The weekend’s events will include participatory demos with NBCCD, a Citizens of Craft photo-booth, a kids craft corner with Beaverbrook Art Gallery, face painting, henna, a Picaroons Traditional Ales Beer Garden featuring Red Rover Cider, food from Café Loka, live music featuring Sugarbomb, Jessica Rhaye and more, plus videos from Life’s Work: Six Conversations with Makers and studio interviews by Bell Aliant Community One.

This event is made possible by the Province of New Brunswick, the City of Fredericton, Downtown Fredericton Inc., Picaroons Traditional Ales, Ginger Design, Grid City Magazine, the Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation and Tony’s Music Box Ltd.

Meet the makers, discover unique fine craft and support New Brunswick creative talent and entrepreneurship by buying local at #FromHumanHands.
