TheLeftovers (album release) + The Merci-Buckets + Tortue at The Cap | January 13

Sussex instrumental prog rockers TheLeftovers make their Fredericton debut this week in support of their debut album Among Us, which arrived on streaming services today. A night of spaced out basement jams born during the darkest days, joined by two of Fredericton finest. Should be a big night of wild music mayhem. Doors at 8:30. Show at 9. View Event. 

Are You In ISOLATION JONES at Memorial Hall | January 13

Winner of the award for Outstanding Solo Show at the 2022 Fundy Fringe Festival, writer, director and performer Scott Shannon brings the latest chapter in his solo saga and the first of four winter/spring performances to Mem Hall. 7:30 p.m. View Event.

Amber Walls + Isobel Soderman at Grimross Brewing Co. | January 14

Amber Walls first wowed Fredericton audiences opening for Colin Fowlie at the Open Space Theatre back in November. From Blackville, Walls is one of the province’s brightest new voices in country and roots music. Joining Walls is Isobel Soderman, the eighth and youngest child of legendary Fredericton area musician Jon Soderman. Doors at 7. Show at 8. View Event.

McLaggan & Palmer at The Tipsy Muse Café | January 14

A new year of live music at The Tipsy Muse Café gets underway this week with two veteran musicians and cornerstones of the local musical community. Troy McLaggan and Dave Palmer are among the finest guitar players our city has ever known. This is a must see performance, and one that will help shake those winter blues. 7 p.m. View Event. 

Derek Seguin at the Fredericton Playhouse | January 14

Back from the ashes of a Covid-19 comedy career, Derek Seguin is back out on tour with a vengeance. A frequent guest on CBC’s The Debaters, Seguin is easily one of Canada’s top comedic talents. View Event.
