Inspired by the tradition of summertime band concerts in New York City’s Central Park and other public greenspaces in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, the Fredericton High School Music Department aims to create a lively atmosphere of music and family fun, bringing the spirit of spring inside (even if the weather outside disagrees).  The String Ensemble, Glee Choir, Concert Band, and Jazz Ensemble will perform, as well as guests from Bliss Carmen Middle School.  This year the theme is TV & Movie Themes. Each group has selected music from the big and small screens that audiences are sure to recognize.  There will be a concession stand, a games area, and a silent auction featuring donations from many local businesses and individuals.

This event is a fundraiser for the Parent Support Group, which helps organize these concerts and ensemble member activities.  Admission is by donation. Come kick off spring with some great music and family entertainment from our next generation performers.
