Diversity Reigns at Mud City Meltdown

Category: music 196

Sacrifice, Matt Andersen, The Sadies and Piss Horse among several acts announced for Moncton summer music festival.

Moncton’s Mud City Meltdown could just be the most diverse music festival in the province. Following last year’s lineup that included performances by celebrated music forerunner Daniel Lanois, reunited 90’s Canadian rock icons Headstones, Fredericton’s chamber folk ensemble The Olympic Symphonium and Moncton’s punk rock troublemakers The Deadfucks, the festival will return once again this summer with an equally assorted mix of music.

MCM organizers have announced several acts planned for the 2018 edition of the festival set to take place July 24-28 across several Moncton venues. If diversity is the goal, this year’s lineup certainly delivers. Where else could you find a lineup that includes New Brunswick international blues sensation Matt Andresen, acid-folk-country-punks The Sadies and Canadian thrash metal legends Sacrifice? The answer is, nowhere except at the 2018 Mud City Meltdown. Well done!
