What's_Up_DocOn Friday, Nov. 27th at 7pm at 180 St. John St., Fredericton, Cinema Politica Fredericton will screen the shorts films from Fredericton’s own “What’s Up Doc?”

This collection showcases seven short film projects from the UNB Education & Anglophone District West School District’s What’s up Doc? program, a classroom-based documentary filmmaking program intended to address social issues. Curated by Dr. Matt Rogers (Acadia Univ.), this year’s beautiful selection of films made by NB teens features a variety of themes. Since 2009, more than 60 participatory films have premiered at the annual What’s up Doc? film festivals in Fredericton, NB. All of the films have been written, directed and produced by students and all provide poignant commentary on a range of issues.

This film is cohosted by Frictive Pictures, a Fredericton film production company, and project coordinators Matt Rogers and Amy Bourgaize (from FHS) will moderate the discussion with a few directors participating.
