(Saint John, NB) The team at AREA 506 are proud to present the Boxcar Country Music Festival, extending the festival season for another big weekend in Southern New Brunswick. The Saint John waterfront will come alive on Friday, July 28 through Saturday July 29 with headline sets from Canadian country music artists Dean Brody and James Barker Band along with an incredibly diverse supporting lineup, including a selection of New Brunswick country music artists.
“We are thrilled to build on the success of the original AREA 506 Festival and bring another weekend of music to the waterfront” says Ray Gracewood, AREA 506 Founder and Committee Chair. “We have heard from fans of country music that this is something they’d love to see in Saint John, and we’ve been working hard to deliver an exciting concept that creates an interesting dynamic with elements from both the East and West coasts. It will truly be a unique experience that extends beyond the concert”.
Similar to the popular AREA 506 Festival, the inaugural Boxcar Country Music Festival event will take place in the space adjoining the AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village. The Village will host a program of country-themed, family-friendly experiences including experiential activities, food trucks, and the vendor market throughout the weekend.
Boxcar Country Music Festival will offer general admission, VIP, and the popular pod-based ticketing options for this year’s event, and will be open to all ages, with free admission offered to those under 12 years of age with adult accompaniment.
Boxcar Country Music Festival will include performances by Dean Brody, James Barker Band, Hunter Brothers, The Road Hammers, Tristan Horncastle, Jessica Rhaye & The Ramshackle Parade, Émilie Landry, Madeline Merlo, Sacha, Riley Taylor, Melissa Marshall, Shawn Richard.
