New Brunswick Craft Council’s 50th Anniversary Event.
At 7pm on Thursday, October 30th at Gallery 78, don a costume and come celebrate fine crafts at “Beer ‘n Stein”, a Halloween-themed 50th Anniversary fundraiser presented by the New Brunswick Crafts Council and Picaroons Traditional Ales. Ticketholders receive one free Picaroons beer and can choose one handcrafted beer stein or one handcrafted stein stuffer (woven scarves, jewellery etc). Plus an evening of music, a spooky photobooth, delicious finger food from the Lunar Rogue Pub, silent film screenings, handmade masks and props by Hammerthreads, and a costume contest.
“The New Brunswick Crafts Council’s upcoming fundraiser, Beer ‘n Stein, will raise funds for the 2015 Craft Year exhibition, an exhibition which will feature provocative work by New Brunswick craftspeople and which we hope to travel around the province,” said Claire Shiplett, project manager for the NB Crafts Council. “The Beer ‘n Stein event is part of fresh programming to connect fine craft with the community and to build on partnerships to promote more cross-pollination between sectors. Gallery 78, as a historical house and focal point of fine art in Fredericton, is the perfect venue for this evening of art and craft appreciation and will be decked out in Halloween regalia.”
General tickets are $40, but for NBCC members and NBCCD students with vaild ID, tickets are $35. A limited number of tickets are available, so get your tickets starting Wednesday, October 1st at the Picaroons Traditional Ales Brewtique, NB Crafts Council Office, or at Gallery 78.
