The second in a series of weekend features exploring many of the performers included as part of the festival’s 2015 lineup.
In three week’s time, Feels Good Folly Fest will take up its annual weekend residency in the sleepy Village of Gagetown. As the seventh edition of the popular festival draws nearer, we thought we’d run a series of short features focusing on the many bands and entertainers performing at this year’s event. In case you’ve been on the fence about attending the friendliest festival in New Brunswick (or missed our first post), here are 10 more reasons to clear your calendar during the last weekend of June.
The Floozies
The Floozies are producer/guitarist Matt Hill and drummer Mark Hill. These two brothers are bringing their fresh approach to electronic music and live performance to venues and festivals all over the country. The duo’s combination of cutting edge electronic production and party rocking funk energizes crowds and turns venues into epic dance parties. Iron Horse
Through the years and after involvement with several groups, the present band was born as a result of the participation of Tony Robertson, Vance Henry and Ricky Rogers in the Jake Landers Band. In January 2003, Anthony was asked to fill an opening for a banjo player and the present Iron Horse configuration evolved. Iron Horse creates much of its own music, with an innate ability for cross-genre arrangements. Iron Horse has three self-produced albums, containing previously unreleased compositions, and Iron Horse-composed originals.
Iron Horse was approached in January 2003 by Los Angeles-based CMH Records to record a tribute album to the heavy metal band, Metallica, which was released in October 2003. Iron Horse has recorded twelve projects for CMH Records. Tributes to Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy Osbourn, Modest Mouse, The Shins, Guns & Roses, The Goo Goo Dolls, Hank Williams, Black label Society as well as others.
The skill and ability of Iron Horse to transpose metal to bluegrass while maintaining the identity of the originals is exceptional. The versatility of Iron Horse is demonstrated by the more traditional flavor of their first CD, “Ridin’ Out the Storm”. This versatility enables Iron Horse to perform such standards as “Rocky Top” and “Man of Constant Sorrow” with little effort, while entertaining “metal-heads” with the familiarity of the compositions of metal and pop icons – all on the same stage.

Gabriel Palatchi Trio
Gabriel Palatchi was born on August 3, 1982 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age of 8, he started his first piano lessons. He then went on to study classical music at the conservatory Manuel de Falla school in Argentina. His studies led him to a Musical Production degree from the ORT High School. He further expanded his studies with a degree in music from the Berklee international School from Argentina. During this time he studied under many great maestros of Blues, Tango, Jazz and Latin Jazz such as Alvaro Torres, Ricardo Nole and Ernesto Jodos.

Grand Theft Bus arose from the cold musical landscape of the East Coast of Canada after an impromptu performance in 2000.
