The Fredericton Green Party EDA are hosting a celebration of local innovation with Green Party Leader Elizabeth May at The Ville Cooperative on Sunday August 27th, 2017.
The garden party will feature live music from New Brunswick band Earthbound, food from New Brunswick’s Locavore, and short talks from local innovators who are putting Fredericton on the map of green technology and innovation.
Keynote:
Green Party Leader Elizabeth May will inspire us with what growing a green and sustainable economy means for Fredericton and Canada.
Venue:
The Ville Cooperative, located in the old Alexander Gibson Memorial School at 241 Canada Street, is a locally owned not-for-profit social enterprise; an incubator supporting the inception and growth of local business and ventures (www.theville.ca}.
Food:
Light finger food is being catered/supplied by a local company, Locavore. Locavore continues in the footsteps of the popular Real Food Connections. It provides a catering service using only delicious locally grown food (www.eatlocavore.ca).
Music:
Music will be provided by ECMA and Music NB award nominated band Earthbound. This acoustic band brings their own special mix of folk/blues. (www.earthboundmusic.ca/).
Talks:
The following organisations will each give a brief talk on what makes them green and innovative – Locavore; Off Grid Ales; Rise Homes; Canuevo; Falls Brook Centre.
Doors will open at 6 p.m and close at 10 p.m. This event is open to the public. Tickets for the event cost $25 and can be purchased from Eventbrite or in person from the Green Party of New Brunswick office on 403 Regent Street.
