Zachary Lucky brings Songs for Hard Times to the East Coast

Category: music 52

Western Canadian balladeer Zachary Lucky returns to the Maritimes in support of his latest album, Songs for Hard Times, a collection of traditional songs and covers.

By the time Western Canadian singer songwriter Zachary Lucky makes his way to the Grimross Brewery stage on November 19, his latest album will have just turned a year old. Recorded by Lucky in a small cottage on the shores of Lake Ontario in May of 2021 and released just six months later, Songs for Hard Times is a collection of traditional songs and a few covers that sum up both the isolation we have all experienced and the comfort we glean from timeless songs and stories. Seven songs recorded in two days using a single microphone, Lucky’s latest draws its strength from its simplicity. Just voice, guitar, and timeless storytelling.

Lucky will be touring parts of the Maritimes this month. His upcoming tour includes three New Brunswick performances with shows in Florenceville-Bristol, Fredericton, and Kingston before heading to Nova Scotia for shows in Amherst and Dartmouth.
