It’s been fun to watch Sabarah Pilon’s solo project DenMother evolve. While she has been making and performing electronic music as DenMother for more than eight years now, she has become increasingly active within the Fredericton music scene over the past couple of years.  This year alone she has performed at Shivering Songs opening for Beverly Glenn Copeland at the Beaverbrook Arts Centre and challenging our interpretation of what a singer/songwriter is as part of the festival’s Songwriters and Storytellers event, playing alongside Andrew Sisk, Garrett Mason, Catherine Kennedy and Simon Daniel.

She also performed to a capacity crowd at The Capital Complex with Bleum, Fractal Code and Levi Rowan on March 15 for what many have been calling an epic night of electronic music. And most recently she joined Gold Punks and Wangled Teb at Grimross Brewery to celebrate the release of Wangled Teb’s latest EP, Seasonal Depression. Oh, and back on Valentine’s Day she released Love Portion, a beautifully complex three song EP.  Needles to say, Pilon stays busy doing what she enjoys.

Last week she posted this fun video for a previously unreleased, unnamed track she is (not officially) calling sure it’s fine it’s time for bed. Check it out.
