Saint John Theatre Company to host youth auditions for the company’s Fall Production of It’s A Wonderful Life.
Holiday planning is in full swing at the Saint John Theatre Company. The adult auditions, held earlier this summer, had a very strong turnout. Now it’s time to focus on the younger roles for the holiday classic.
Youth auditions will be held on Sunday, September 10th from 2-4 p.m. Auditions will take place at 112 Princess Street. Performance dates are: November 22-26, 2017.
Four young performers will be required for the November production, directed by Scott Thomas. The play will be presented as a golden age radio broadcast. Rehearsals for the production will run from early September to late November. The young performers will have a specific but reduced schedule in comparison to the adult cast.
Roles include: Young George Bailey / Tommy Bailey – 10-15 years old, Young Harry Bailey / Peter Bailey – 8-13 years old, Young Mary Hatch / Zuzu Bailey – 10-15 years old, and Young Violet Bick / Janie Bailey – 10-15 years old. Ages are flexible, any performer close to the range will be considered.
It’s A Wonderful Life is part of the SJTC 2017-2018 Main Stage Series. The production will be staged at Imperial Theatre November 22-26, 2017. For details on subscription packages and single tickets please call Imperial Theatre box office at 1-800-323-7469.
