Quebec’s Vortex will support their latest album The Future Remains In Oblivion with November shows in New Brunswick and PEI. Watch the new video for the album’s title track.
The Future Remains In Oblivion, the third album from Rimouski, Quebec’s Vortex is a complex apocalyptic tale told through a masterful mix of black and orchestral melodic death metal. Although the album is packed with all the mega riffage and technical prowess that defines contemporary extreme metal, The Future Remains In Oblivion began not as a collection of riffs but with a storyline which then inspired a wealth of ferocious accompaniment.
“We wrote all the lyrics before the music to make sure that it would fit the feel and emotion of each song/part of the story,” said the band. “When we start writing a song, we know exactly what feeling and emotion we are aiming at, it’s a good way to push ourselves creatively and write thoughtful music.”
Recently, the band shared a video for the album’s title track and announced a slew of tour dates that will see them performing throughout Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and PEI into the new year.
