Target of God

Jacques Poulin-Denis is a dance artist renowned for undertaking projects that blur the boundaries between dance, music and theatre. His work is both humanistic and uncanny, putting forth the strength within the vulnerability of the characters he brings to life. Target of God is a raw solo piece that explores the human need to understand our reason for being, our path and our purpose. With a humorous twirl, the piece exposes the personal turmoil of an ingenuous and ill-fated antihero as he confides to the audience.

This performance is presented in our intimate backstage studio space.

Fredericton Chamber Orchestra – Feature: Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite with Peekaboo Shadows Theatre

Under the direction of conductor Richard Hornsby, the Fredericton Chamber Orchestra offers a fresh take on Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite, a composition inspired by classic fairy tales including Sleeping Beauty and Tom Thumb. The orchestra, a blend of accomplished amateur and professional musicians, will be joined by 11-year-old singer Michelle Buyko. Local group Peekaboo Shadows Theatre will add an extra element to the performance using the ancient and mystical art of shadow puppetry. This is the perfect show for families, and an excellent way to introduce children to the power and presence of orchestral music.
