Following the cancelation of the festival’s January programming, organizers have put together a summer lineup they’ve dubbed Sweltering Songs. Today the festival has announced plans for a summer edition, set for July 16-18 in Downtown Fredericton featuring performances from Jenn Grant, AQUASOCKS, Old Man Luedecke, Adam Baldwin, P’tit Belliveau, Chloé Breault, Alan Jeffries, Andrew Sisk, Pallmer, and more.

“This was always going to be an adaptive year for us,” said festival co-organizer, Zach Atkinson. “With Sweltering Songs, we’re aiming to create a folk festival, lawn chair-style event, where groups can sit in pods comfortably while enjoying live music, seated bar service, and food truck options. Shivering Songs has long been known as ‘a cure for the winter blues’ in Fredericton, but moving our dates ahead has allowed us to prioritize supporting artists and small businesses locally, as we’ve always done.”

Sweltering Songs events will feature a pod-based ticketing model. Tickets will go on sale Monday July 5 at  www.shiveringsongs.com. No venue details have been announced at this time.
