Delta Will headed to East Coast in early April.

0007049519_10Toronto indie pop outfit, Delta Will, have released their debut full length album, Weathering and will be touring the East Coast in early April with four New Brunswick shows planned for Sackville (w/ Corey Isonor), Fredericton (w/ Nuages) and Moncton and Saint John (w/ Motherhood).

Weathering sees the band fully embracing the electronic elements hinted on earlier releases.

“I always used some elements of electronic production even on the first Delta Will EP, but in more subtle ways,” said founder Charles Tilden.  “I’d build a drum track from old samples, or play one synth pad in the background of an otherwise fairly folky song.”

The band began in 2012 as a solo/bedroom recording project by Tilden, releasing the EP Transcendental Visits before adding drummer Lowell Whitty. Whitty and Tilden released the EP, It All Glows, in 2013.

Now as a four-piece, Delta Will’s sound has expanded to benefit from the full ensemble which now includes multi-instrumentalists Brandon Johns and Milan Schramek.

“I guess the difference now is that we’re a four-piece band, and two of us, myself and Brandon, are sometimes putting those electronic elements at the forefront of the songs,” said Tilden.  “At their core, the songs are still inspired by folk and blues progressions, but sonically we’re using a bigger palate now.”
