Goose Lane Editions announce upcoming events in support of new releases.
Goose Lane Editions will be hosting three events over the coming month at the Fredericton Public Library and the Provincial Archives. Science, fiction and history are the focus of three individual new releases from Canada’s oldest independent publisher. Join authors Debra Komar, Riel Nason and Melynda Jarratt in conversation as they discuss their latest works. Here’s all the info:
Debra Komar: What Makes a Murderer?
What makes a murderer? What role, if any, should the accused’s character play in a court of law? Join Debra Komar, forensic anthropologist and award-winning author of Black River Road, for a look at how an historical case of murder in the Maritimes shows why treating character as evidence remains one of Canada’s most controversial legal issues.
