Fredericton Playhouse invites visual arts groups to exhibit works.

Fredericton, NB – The Fredericton Playhouse is inviting local visual arts programs and organizations to exhibit work in its two galleries through its Visual Arts Exhibitions Program.

The Playhouse is opening up these gallery spaces to a variety of organizations, including public art galleries; private or commercial galleries; educational institutes specializing in arts or fine craft; art societies, clubs and non-profit organizations; and established art collectives.

Interested groups are welcome to exhibit works in cohesive exhibits or shows comprised of local professional, emerging or student work. Both Playhouse galleries (East and West) are available for two-month time periods to host such exhibits.

There is no charge to exhibitors to use these spaces, although related events such as receptions, openings and artist talks must pay standard catering, personnel and technical costs. Artwork may be available for sale. No commissions are levied by the venue, and transactions must be handled independently of the Playhouse.

Exhibits will be booked on a first come, first served basis, and no organization may book an exhibit more than once per year. One or both galleries may be used, depending on the scope of the exhibit.

For more information and a complete list of technical considerations, please visit www.theplayhouse.ca/visual-arts-program. To book an exhibit, contact Patron Services Manager Sally Goodwin at 459-6217 or sally@theplayhouse.ca.
