If we’ve learned anything since venues began hosting live performances following the loss of spring and summer programming, it’s that nothing is certain. While the news of an upcoming performance can offer a glimpse of hope amidst this season of loss we’re all experiencing, it’s important to take it all with a grain of salt. Sure, while going to a concert in your favourite venue is, for many, the return to some sense of normalcy, the reality of that show actually happening involves a lot of grey.
With rising cases of COVID-19 in New Brunswick being announced daily, the Imperial Theatre has joined the ranks of Shivering Songs and others preemptively moving or postponing a number of upcoming performances planned for the month of January.
Here’s what’s been moved:
Haley McMillan Trio + The Groovemasters | Rescheduled to April 24
Jamie Comeau & the Crooked Teeth + Hammond River Collective | Rescheduled to May 28
Dave Carroll: An intimate evening of songs and stories | Rescheduled to April 10
Irish Mythen | Rescheduled to May 1
Retro Film Night” Mad Max 2 | Cancelled
