Floral paintings, highlights from the City’s summer artists residencies and a private collection are all on display this month at Gallery 78.
The current trio of exhibitions on display at Gallery 78 combine a fading glimpse at summer with an impression collection from a private collector.
Gathered Blooms highlights the work of several notable artists and their floral interpretations. This exhibition brings together work by Bruno Bobak, Molly Lamb Bobak, Matthew Collins, Andrew Henderson, Amber Leger, Ann Manuel, Susan Paterson, Cathy Ross, Cliff Turner, and James Wilson.
Various creations from jewelry to textiles make up the Fredericton Summer Residencies exhibit now on display upstairs in the Gallery. Featured artists include Jacqueline Bourque, Renata Britez, Cat Candow, Jasmine Cull, Sasha French, Darcy Hunter, Emily Kennedy, Karen LeBlanc, Riel Nason, Tracey O’Brien, Sarah Sarty, Caroline Simpson, Ralph Simpson, and Kirsten Stackhouse, all participants in this past summer’s artist residency program organized by the City of Fredericton.
Finally, experience the collected work on one Fredericton art lover with work by Alex Colville, Gerald Collins, William Forrestall and several others. Many of these works were purchased at the Gallery and are now available once again through this unique private show and sale.
During COVID-19, Gallery 78 is open to the public Tuesday to Friday 10-4, Saturday 10-3, and by appointment.
All current exhibited work can be viewed online at gallery78.com but nothing beats an in-person visit!
