World class performances dot the calendar this weekend with a TNB world premiere hitting the stage, a living legend of the blues at the Muse, a pairing of classical music and art at the BAG, along with performances by some of the best indie songwriters you’re bound to find anywhere.

Resident Aliens | Theatre New Brunswick | March 22-26 | View Event

Theatre New Brunswick launches the final professional production of its 2022-2023 season with the world premiere of Resident Aliens by Don Hannah. Hannah is a New Brunswick born playwright known nationally for his plays and novels (and even a few operas!), yet has never been produced by TNB until now. Don’t miss his long overdue debut on the TNB stage and see for yourself why he is one of the most respected names in Canadian theatre.

Blues legend. That’s the best way to sum up Morgan Davis. He’s lived the blues his whole life and has the scars to prove it. Infectious songs and charisma for days, any chance you have to see Davis on stage should not be missed. 

Marc McLaughlin + El Tata + Sadie + DJ Blue Angel | The Cap l March 24 | View Event 

Fredericton-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Marc McLaughlin, is embarking on a tour throughout Atlantic Canada to promote his freshly released debut EP, “I Don’t Want to Be Blue Anymore.” McLaughlin’s tour will feature solo performances that offer audiences an up-close and intimate experience with his latest musical creations. See him on stage this Friday along with Sadie, El Tata, and DJ Blue Angel. Big night!

Jason Anderson | Tipsy Muse Café | March 25 | View Event 

Jason Anderson has made a home for himself at the Tipsy Muse Café, where he makes a point of playing every three or four months. Never playing the same set twice (and often never revisiting the same songs), Anderson’s voice, lyrics and personality will leave you demanding to know when you can see him next. Come enjoy his last New Brunswick show before he hits the road for dates throughout the U.S. starting in just under a month. 

Music to your Eyes – Seasons in Harmony | Beaverbrook Art Gallery l March 26 | View Event 

As if you needed another reason to love the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, this Sunday the gallery hosts a performance featuring selections of beloved classical music paired with works of art from its collection, performed by outstanding New Brunswick musicians. Music never looked this good!
