Theatre UNB presents Canadian playwright Daniel MacIvor’s satirical one-act play Never Swim Alone, October 24-26.
MacIvor’s fast-paced comedy introduces Frank and Bill, two egotistical men in suits locked in a ruthless competition of verbal one-upmanship under the scrutiny of a female lifeguard who acts as referee. As their sparring becomes more intense and violent, Never Swim Alone unveils a dark secret behind the curtains of comedy and drama.
Directed and produced by senior UNB Drama students Alexe LaPointe and María Ingrahm, the play will be performed nightly at 7:30 pm in Memorial Hall on the UNB Fredericton campus, October 24-26.
Tickets ($12 regular, $8 seniors/underemployed, $6 students) are available at the door. For more information, email alapoin1@unb.ca, visit www.facebook.com/theatreunb or phone the Theatre UNB hotline at 447-3078.
