An annual group exhibition currently on display at Gallery 78
Printmaking is a labour of love for artists who choose to create images using the many possible techniques. Etching, serigraphy (also known as silkscreen printing), lithography, linocut, drypoint etching, and mezzotint, all require planning, technical skill, and patience – as well as an artistic vision. Known as “Original Multiples”, images created using printmaking techniques are original works of art made by printing an impression of an image created on another surface such as a plate of metal, stone, block, plexiglass, or a screen. The imagery comes alive through layering. In this exhibition you will find works by Tessa May, Ann Manuel, Susan Paterson, Irene Brennan, and others.
