Summer Concerts & Movies Under The Stars

Category: community 173

A quick look at Fredericton’s free outdoor summer concerts and films for the week of July 16.

Another big week of music on the way as part of the City of Fredericton’s summer concerts series. This week includes various incarnations of rock and roll (psych, pop, classic and indie), folk and bluegrass.  There are even choir and organ recitals planned. It’s not everyday you can experience a 40+ minute set on a pipe organ. And of course there are a few under the stars film screening coming up too.

You know, even though the weather is a mixed bag of surprises these days, it’s definitely worth calling its bluff. There have been a few days over the past few weeks that looked like they would rain out a few of these free performances but no, the skies were on our side. That may continue this week. It may not. Go see some music this week, and keep an umbrella close by.
