Steven Lambke is always in motion. A songwriter and poet, Lambke splits his time between Toronto, Ontario and Sackville, New Brunswick. In Toronto he runs a record label. In Sackville, an arts festival. And in between, he finds time to write and record and tour.

Twenty years ago he co-founded the Guelph, Ontario band Constantines.  They released four albums and toured a lot. Between 2006 and 2013, Lambke released five albums as Baby Eagle. Then in 2015 he released Days of Heaven, his first album under his own name. As he puts it, “one should swap masks every so often and look through new eyes.”

On his latest release Dark Blue, Lambke teams up with his You’ve Changed Records co-founder Daniel Romano to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the label.

Evocative poetry and guitar work reminiscent of Lambke’s long career with indie legends The Constantines combine with Romano’s multi-instrumental skill and production talents in music that is sophisticated and immediate, intimate and expansive.

To support the release, Lambke will be playing a series of dates throughout Ontario, Quebec and the Maritime Provinces through April and May.

Upcoming Performances:

May 10 | Halifax, NS | Radstorm
May 26 | Mount Stewart, PE | The Trailside
June 07 | Sackville, NB | Thunder & Lightning
