Petunia and The Minimalist Jug Band return for annual east coast pilgrimage

Category: music 329

Vancouver-based touring duo bring roots revival and beat poetry to Atlantic Canada for dates in New Brunswick, PEI and Nova Scotia.

Before he packed up and moved to the west coast, formed The Vipers – arguably one of Canada’s best rockabilly bands, and started taking his vision and his music to new audiences throughout Canada, the United States and Europe, Petunia held court each Saturday night at The Lunar Rogue Pub in his adopted home of Fredericton. For nearly three years, he and his band The Loons would perform a mix of classic country, rockabilly, jazz standards and originals for an equally diverse audience.

Since leaving Fredericton for the west coast about a decade back, Petunia and The Minimalist Jug Band (Al Mader) have been returning to the province regularly to see old friends and share their music. They start a seven date tour of the Maritimes tonight in Fredericton.  Full dates below.
