On Tour: Ben Kunder

Category: music 123

Toronto folk musician Ben Kunder is headed east for dates in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI.

Ben Kunder’s musical journey reads a bit like a Hollywood screenplay. Born into a musical family, he had the rare experience of seeing performances by Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Van Morrison at a very young age. He learned to play guitar from his father’s old Dylan songbooks and he’s lived on both Canadian coasts. That’s a beautiful story right there and we haven’t even talked about his music yet.

Both his albums, Golden (2015) and Better Human (2018) have received glowing reviews via Exclaim! and have featured members of Alvvays, Cowboy Junkies, NQ Arbuckle, Dustin Bentall, Danko Jones, Arkells, Wintersleep and more. Should we keep going?

Kunder has toured with Oh Suzanna, recently appeared on CBC’s Q and is heading to the East Coast for dates in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI in September.

You should probably check him out.
