Saint John emo/rock outfit drops second single from forthcoming debut album.

Last May, the Saint John group, Polaroid, released their debut single Thrill of the First Time, an emotional and atmospheric, guitar-driven track that stands alone among other recent New Brunswick releases due largely to its tight, clean production and contemporary emo influences. Let’s face it, there just aren’t that many bands making this kind of music here in the province. For better context, the group’s bio admits Polaroid “take their musical cues from acts such as Taking Back Sunday, Balance and Composure, and Moving Mountains”.

Made up of members of You and Me in Reverie, Plaster Lungs and Predecessor, Polaroid occupy a unique space within New Brunswick’s music makeup.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the band. One thing is for sure, they have a debut album in the works which will probably surface later this summer. In the meantime, have a listen to another new track. This week the band shared with us their latest single, Aura, and we’re pleased to be able to share it with you. Enjoy!
