Chasing Hurricanes is the debut EP from Moncton rock trio, Melonvine. The self-recorded, five-track EP channels 90’s up-tempo, punchy guitar rock with a confident pop twist.

The EP follows the March 2018 single, Flowers, which has earned the group considerable airplay nationwide.

Chasing Hurricanes is our first release as a three-piece,” said guitarist/vocalist Derek Thibeault. “To us, the tracks kind of give off these 90’s alternative rock vibes with a modern punch – hard hitting drums, aggressive guitar tones, and over driven bass. We spent more time focusing on trying to add more colour to the melodies compared to our previous release.”

The recording was mixed and mastered in Saint John by Adam Dincorn at Undertone.

“The opportunity to work with Adam Dincorn at Undertone was an amazing experience,” said Thibeault. “Adam did a tremendous job producing the tracks and maximizing that distinctive sound we’ve been looking for. We are excited to share it and have it proudly released under She Said Feck Records.”
