Jason Patrick Anderson shares new single

Anderson finds optimism in Thinkin About, a deeply contemplative work of indie-folk, created during the bleakest of times.

Fredericton singer-songwriter Jason Patrick Anderson has a new EP on the way. Canyonlands is due for release this fall.

“The songs of Canyonlands are songs for moving forward that were written at a standstill, reflecting and refracting the emotional landscape of a surreal year,” says Anderson, who has collaborated as a session guitarist with acclaimed indie artists such as Strand of Oaks and Mount Eerie,

In advance of the forthcoming EP, Anderson shared the first single last week. Thinkin About is a moment of reflection, inspired by distance and longing, craving connection and wondering what the future holds as time moves forward with life at a standstill.

Supported by crystal clean production, subtle backing vocals and even a tasteful touch of soprano sax, Anderson sets a beautiful tone with this new single distinguishing his voice and vision as something unique among Fredericton’s rich musical topography.
