Imperial Theatre Announces New Executive Director

Imperial Theatre is pleased to announce Angela Campbell has been hired as the new Executive Director. 

A native of Saint John, Angela is a twelve-year veteran in Arts Administration.  After studying Sociology at the University of New Brunswick, Angela began a career in event coordination, fund-raising and community development.  

In 2004 she accepted a position at Imperial Theatre as the Director of Development. She has extensive experience in programing, audience development and theatre management. In her time with Imperial Angela has developed and further deepened relationships in the arts community on a local and national level which has helped to affirm Imperial Theatre’s status and reach.  

The respect and admiration that she has garnered in the arts outside of Saint John extends to diverse, successful and strong relationships right here at home. Angela is a diplomat and a connector of people and represents Imperial Theatre in a positive and professional manner every day and everywhere she goes

Her passion for the arts and her community fuel her commitment to build a rich cultural environment not only in Saint John but in Atlantic Canada. The performing arts have always been a part of Angela’s life, preforming on stage from an early age.  

Angela is currently the Assistant Executive Director at Imperial Theatre and President of the Atlantic Presenters Association. She was also a member of the ECMA2017 Local Event Committee and was excited to participate in the ECMA’s Export Buyers Program.

Angela’s tenure at Imperial Theatre begins July 1, 2017.
