Fredericton mayoral candidates (L-R) Kate Rogers, Mike O’Brien, Drew Brown and Corinne Sanders Hersey.

The Fredericton Arts Alliance will once again be hosting a live forum featuring Fredericton’s mayoral candidates discussing their views on the city’s approach to the arts and cultural issues. This year’s forum will be moderated by Susanne Alexander, publisher of Goose Lane Editions.

The event will take place via YouTube Live with live chat moderating happening throughout the stream. Audience questions will be channelled to Alexander to be posed to the candidates.

The forum starts with brief opening statements, followed by a series of questions shared with the candidates in advance covering the future of the Fredericton Playhouse, development of Officers’ Square, the progress of the city’s 2003 Arts Policy and its 2014 Cultural Plan, and the city’s built heritage.

Following questions from the audience, candidates will have an opportunity for closing remarks in reverse order of their opening statements.
