Coming up next week, ReNeu Boutique are hosting a special Monday night performance by the Halifax group Heaven For Real, currently touring in support of their debut album Kill Your Memory, which comes out July 15 via Mint Records.
Made up of members of some of the Halifax indie underground’s finest (Quaker Parents, Monomyth, Nap Eyes fill-ins, Old and Weird, ex-Crosss), Heaven For Real blends undeniable earworm-y melodies, experimental sounds, and off-kilter left-hooks on their debut full-length. The band hits many sonic touchstones along the way: Devo, Wire, Quarterbacks,Talking Heads, Sparks, and Daniel Johnston all spring to mind. The band is on tour throughout Canada this summer.
Joining Heaven For Real will be Fredericton’s own masters of the unpredictable, Footloose & Fancy Free, with an opening set from Dizzy.
