Christmas Choice at Gallery 78

Gallery 78’s annual holiday exhibition opens Friday December 3.

Christmas Choice is a tradition at Gallery 78. An annual part of the gallery’s event calendar, this December exhibition takes a decidedly different approach to curation, highlighting smaller works from a wide variety of Atlantic Canadian artists. No one artist is the focus of Christmas Choice. It’s a celebration of our region and the many artists who make our home, their home.

Christmas Choice 2021 features work from 40 artists and includes a variety of paintings, original prints, jewellery, ceramics, wearable fibre art, and artisanal candles. There are paintings by Ann Balch, Stephen May, Vicky Lentz and David McKay. Sculptures by Werner Arnold. Fibre works by Kim Bent and jewelry by Laura Boudreau. Ceramic creations by Matt Cripps and Liz Demerson. And that’s just a tip of the iceberg.

This year’s full exhibition of work can be viewed and purchased directly through the gallery’s website. A public opening will be held December 3 from 5-7 p.m. The gallery will also be open Dec. 2 from 5-9 p.m. as part of Downtown Fredericton’s Moonlight Shopping event.

Christmas Choice 2021 will be on display until Christmas Eve. Don’t miss it.
