Broken Record announces Emi Jeen and Kin Crew

Montreal’s Emi Jeen and Halifax alt-pop duo Kin Crew will play Fredericton’s Broken Record Bar & Music Room on November 27. In a recent post on the venue’s Facebook page, owners announced several shows planned for the coming month including a Sunday evening performance by emerging Canadian alt-pop artists Emi Jeen and Kin Crew.

Jeen recently joined another Halifax duo, Neon Dreams, as part of Toronto’s three-day Elevate Festival Block Party performing in support of her latest EP, Why So Serious.

‘’My new EP sorta happened by accident,” said Jeen, whose TikTok profile has earned her more than 17 million views. “I was working on many songs and realized that these six reflected the closing of an important chapter and the opening of a new one. I had so many emotions to get out with my first EP and I truthfully had more fun diving into this one. It felt more authentic and I could see it leading me in a new direction.”

Halifax alt-pop duo Kin Crew recently played their first show in three years. This month they will join Emi Jeen for a tour that will take them through parts of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario.

Ticket details for the Fredericton show, which includes guests All Honesty and Wickerborne, are forthcoming.
