Theatre UNB have announced auditions for its first production of the season – A Life in the Theatre.
Theatre UNB presents A Life in the Theatre, a play by David Mamet. The play follows actors Robert and John through a series of scenes both onstage and backstage. Robert is a seasoned professional and John is a young novice. The comedy deals not only with the two actors, but with teacher and pupil, mentor and disciple, and the rites of passage.
Show dates are Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27.
The company is looking for two male actors.
- Robert is older, a real theatrical “pro”
- John is younger, an up and coming talent.
Auditions are open to the public and will be held in the Memorial Hall auditorium on Sunday, September 23 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. as well as Monday, September 24 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Scripts will be provided. It is not required to have anything prepared.
